Bloodline

Bloodline is an on-going project with my Mum, from whom I am separated by distance. Bloodline functions as an incentive to meet, a document of our meetings and a manifestation of our continued attachment. We knit from two balls of blood red Scottish yarn and each began with twelve stitches. Somewhere, I lost one. As we knit, we move further apart and yet remain connected.  Bloodline runs like a vein through my PhD by Project at The Royal College of Art.
